A bulk cargo transshipment terminal has been launched at the Zhetygen Transport and Logistics Center.
May 20, 2024 – The Zhetygen Transport and Logistics Center plays an important role not only in imports but also in exports, especially agricultural products.
In May 2024, a bulk cargo transshipment terminal was launched at the Center, enabling the transfer of goods from universal railcars to containers. The equipment was selected based on the best European practices. This terminal has no analogues in Central Asia and is a unique facility in the region. Special attention is given to the speed of train handling and the potential to expand export volumes.
As part of the Center’s development, two transshipment terminals will be launched. The planned capacity of each, operating in a single shift, amounts to 500,000 tons per year.
